Born in 1949 in Volterra, an ornamental craftsman, he learned from his adolescence in the old artisan shops picking up secrets form the old masters. Even if today his work is made easier by modern tools, Valdo´s work is completely done by hand with traditional methods, either his own projects or commissioned work. He was the president of the "Cooperativa Artieri Alabastro" for which he made various objects exported all over the world. Among his more important projects, the making of a scaled model of New Yorkís St. Patrick´s Cathedral.
